66th Workshop Regional Anaesthesia

Sonography has become an integral part of anaesthetics, intensive care and pain therapy. DGAI and DEGUM have set the appropriate framework conditions for a qualified education and training program by formulating curricula and further education in this sector.

The Ärztekammer Westfalen-Lippe sees the "acquisition of knowledge, experience and skills in ultrasound examinations in punctures and injections of nerves and / or vessels as well as intensive care questions" as an obligatory part of specialist training and has firmly anchored this wording in the continuing education regulations.
