The congress gets started on the evening of the 18 May with the Inaugural Session and Networking Reception. This is an ideal time to meet up with the other delegates before the congress gets under way in earnest the following day.
Workshops
In addition to the Scientific Programme the workshops are a great added benefit
Pre-Arranged Sessions
All sessions last for 90 minutes and are held in the lecture rooms
Main Sessions
Experts present state-of-the-art lectures on Nursing and Cardiovascular Care, as well as Guidelines and Recommendations from the perspective of daily/practical clinical activities. These sessions feature from 3 to 5 dedicated lectures presented by experts in their fields.
Symposia
Allows for in-depth discussions on developments in the various fields of Cardiovascular Nursing and Care.
Abstract-based
Sessions
These sessions are constructed based on the original scientific contributions received during the call for abstracts and as selected by the programme committee.
Oral Abstract Session
Selected abstracts will be presented orally in a lecture room, in front of a dedicated audience.
Two experts in the topics presented will co-chair the session, stimulate discussions and encourage interaction between the presenters and the audience on the findings presented.
Up to 9 abstracts presented in one session - the presenter will give the audience an overview, using few slides to highlight the research purpose, methods, results and conclusion. Then we will open the floor to questions and interaction ! We invite all delegates to consult the abstract online ahead of time and come to interact in the session.
A reviewing committee will attend the sessions, listen to all presentations and grade in order to award prizes to the best research presented.
.
Oral Clinical-Case Sessions
What is a Clinical
case learning session?
Best Clinical Cases submitted are retained for presentation in highly interactive and educational sessions.
Trainees and Young clinicians will present their cases and experts will be asked to moderate the sessions, facilitate interaction with the audience, prompt discussions, challenge the presenters and the audience.
The main objective of the session is to learn from challenging clinical case scenarios
Moderated Posters
Session
Presented in a poster format in the poster area, these posters will be show-cased during inter-session breaks. Two moderators will conduct the session and allow 5 minutes for each presenter to give an overview of the research. Posters are then available for further consultation by the audience during the duration of the poster session on Friday and during half-a-day on Saturday.
The moderators will select the "Best Moderated Poster Presentation" at the end of each session.
Oral abstract presenters and moderated poster presenters must plan to attend the Closing Ceremony for Awards Announcements.
Poster Session
Research is presented as a Poster - on display for the whole day - to allow sufficient viewing time and interaction opportunities in this very dynamic and person to person format. The place to meet colleagues and peers and specifically address issues related to your daily practice / field of interest / research. The poster area is always given a central place in the congress centre to enhance visibility of research presented.
Top Scores ! in recognition for all top scored research, you will find on a poster a sign indicating the poster is amongst the top scorer research presented at the congress !
